Technical Information
"introducing the natural, renewable replacement to rainforest hardwood decking"
Treatment
Evoca decking is preservative treated with a new generation, advanced water-borne preservative. This new preservative provides the same long term resistance to termites mould and rot as traditional wood treatments but is free from components considered harmful to health and the environment.
Finishing
Evoca engineered bamboo decking comes either uncoated or precoated with Cutek CD50.
In order to be covered by the warranty Evoca should be maintained with regular applications of Cutek CD50 Liquid Art with colourtones added. Evoca that has been supplied in its precoated form should have a second coat applied within a month of installation. Evoca supplied not precoated should be coated on all sides prior to installation, and again within a month of installation.
CD50 is easy to apply but care should be taken to apply it sparingly and according to the instructions on the label. Recoat as necessary to maintain original appearance. Depending on the location and climate the re-application frequency required is approximately once a year.
The warranty offered on the performance of Evoca does not cover natural aging, 'silvering' or 'greying off'. We strongly advise against the use of any other stain or coating on Evoca decking. Coatings that form a surface film-build can cause premature staining and failure resulting in an unsightly mould-like appearance.
